Cool Headed (2024)

Plot

Marie, a woman in her forties residing in the Hautes-Alpes, feels isolated from her family, relying solely on her lover, Alex, a border policeman. To escape her life, she engages in smuggling cigarettes between Italy and France with his help. During one of her trips, she encounters Mouneer, a determined 20-year-old Sudanese migrant seeking to reunite with his sister. Recognizing her role in smuggling, he persuades her to help him and other migrants cross the border, leading to a precarious journey that challenges her convictions and sense of freedom.
