For Better or Nurse (1945)

Plot

Two mischievous boys spot the enchanting nurse Olive and follow her to the hospital, only to be swiftly ejected. Determined to get admitted, they concoct increasingly absurd schemes to injure themselves. Bluto narrowly escapes disaster after a wall falls on him, while Popeye's attempts to get run over fail comically. Their outrageous antics include diving from heights and taunting a bull, but nothing works. Eventually, a forced spinach dose leads Popeye to the hospital—only to discover it’s actually a cat and dog clinic. Their ensuing chaos lands them in a mental institution, fighting like the animals they were mistaken for.
