Tomahawk Trail (1957)

Plot

An inept Lieutenant leads a group of soldiers through Apache territory on the perilous Tomahawk Trail. After the Lieutenant's blunders allow the Apaches to steal their horses and he suffers a minor injury in a clash, Sergeant McCoy seizes control. Successfully guiding the troops to the fort, McCoy discovers that all the soldiers have been killed by the Apaches. As he readies his men for a looming attack, he faces the grim reality that if they survive, the Lieutenant intends to have him court-martialed for taking charge.
