Blondie for Victory (1942)

Plot

In "Blondie for Victory," Blondie takes the initiative to rally the Housewives of America for critical home-front tasks during wartime, including safeguarding the local dam. As the twelfth entry in Columbia's comedic series inspired by Chic Young's beloved comic strip, the film showcases Blondie's enthusiasm for contributing to the war effort. However, her dedication leads to neglecting her household duties, much to the dismay of her husband Dagwood. Compounding the situation are the frustrations of Dagwood's sexist boss, Mr. Dithers, and a newlywed whose wife is often absent due to the defense league's activities.
