Beyond the Limits (2003)
Plot
Rookie journalist Vivian approaches Frederick, the keeper of an ancient cemetery, in hopes of uncovering stories from the past. He recounts the intertwined fates of two sets of individuals haunted by secrets. In the first tale, gangster Jimmie Levinson threatens his former partner Paul Pattuchi over a cocaine heist, leading to Paul's demise and the impending danger to his girlfriend, Clarice. Meanwhile, a dinner party takes a dark turn as Robert Downing and the sadistic Mortimer seek answers about Paul and a mysterious suitcase. The second narrative unfolds in the Middle Ages, where David Deming and his henchman pursue the renegade priest James Flynn, desperate to extract the secret of immortality hidden within the Eternal Heart.
