Plot
Sixteen-year-old Joanna struggles under the oppressive rule of her aunt Martha in a rundown NYC tenement, haunted by a violent incident that awakened an unsettling "darkness" within her. When a biological threat from the Soviet Union seals the building and traps its residents for over a month, tensions rise as food supplies dwindle.
