Plot
Mark Fallon, alongside his partner Kansas John Polly, seeks to establish fair gambling practices on the riverboats. His initial triumph, however, attracts the ire of corrupt gamblers and fair-minded Angelique Dureau, whose necklace he unwittingly claims. After arriving in New Orleans, Mark forms a bond with Angelique's father, yet she maintains her disdain for him, believing his gambling success taints his character. As tensions rise, a series of duels, heart-wrenching tragedies, and romantic entanglements unfold, testing loyalties and challenging the integrity of their ambitions.
