Plot

On February 12, 2008, Oxnard, California, was shaken when eighth-grader Brandon McInerney shot his classmate Larry King in the back of the head during class. Larry succumbed to his injuries two days later, igniting nationwide outrage. The incident raised pressing questions about the motivations behind the shooting: Was it a hate crime driven by Brandon's insecurities about masculinity in response to Larry's openly gay identity? Or were there deeper, more complex factors at play? The case remains a haunting reflection on youth, identity, and societal pressures.
