Plot
Robert Kittredge, a hapless reporter, finds himself out of a job after a disastrous assignment and is also facing pressure from his girlfriend, Chris, to propose. When he receives a lead about Nazi spies in Washington, D.C., he persuades Chris to join him in uncovering the story to regain his job. Their investigation leads them through a series of comical misadventures, including encounters at a nightclub and a burlesque show, culminating in a frantic showdown at a beauty salon. As they navigate these challenges, their relationship faces its own trials as well.
