Plot

Sergeant Andy Anderson and Janie Anderson arrive at divorce court, seeking to end their marriage. However, Janie's father, William Smith, intervenes, prompting the judge to hear his perspective. The couple had married in a whirlwind romance in San Francisco just three days after meeting, but Andy’s deployment the very next day left them distant. Upon his return, despite having a son together, they struggle to reconnect as strangers.
