Plot
Shouya Ishida's childhood is marred by his relentless bullying of Shouko Nishimiya, a deaf girl who becomes the target of his cruelty. As the bullying escalates, Shouya's classmates eventually turn against him, highlighting his lack of empathy. After elementary school, their paths diverge, leaving Shouko and Shouya in silence. Years later, burdened by guilt and regret, an older Shouya seeks to reconnect with Shouko, hoping to make amends for his past actions. However, he wrestles with the daunting question: has the opportunity for redemption slipped away?
