Instead of a straightforward showcase, Single Video Theory intertwines scenes of the band members in the studio as they work on their album. The footage reveals their genuine recording sessions, along with intimate conversations about their creative concepts and musical ideas. Directed by Mark Pellington, this film was shot in 16mm over the course of three days in 1997.
