Hae-gap, a director known for his anti-government documentaries, faces a personal crisis when his son, Na-ra, runs away. A freeloader named Man-deok, residing in Hae-gap's home, finds and returns him. In a bid to combat the exploitation of Deul Island, Man-deok stages a raid, inadvertently leading Na-ra into trouble, resulting in his arrest. To secure his son’s release, Hae-gap agrees to abandon his filmmaking and relocates his family to Deul Island. As Na-ra adjusts to their new life, a construction company threatens the island's community, prompting Hae-gap to rally a protest, putting his family in peril.
