Plot

After con artist Lemon Drop Kid unwittingly swindles gangster Moose Moran out of his gambling winnings, he finds himself in a tight spot. To repay Moose by Christmas, he devises a scheme involving a phony charity for the down-and-out “Apple Annie,” Nellie Thursday. Enlisting his gang to dress as Santa Claus, the Kid sets them on a mission to raise funds under the guise of helping elderly women in need. As his plan unfolds, chaos and comedy ensue, testing his wits and loyalty while racing against the clock to settle his debt.
