Plot

Count Karstein's flirtation with the dark arts leads him to resurrect Mircalla Karnstein, who introduces him to the world of vampirism. As mysterious deaths plague the village, Puritan leader Gustav rallies his followers to hunt down the source of this malevolence. Unbeknownst to him, one of his twin nieces has fallen under the witch's spell. In his fervor to cleanse the village, Gustav mistakenly targets the innocent Maria for a brutal fate, while the malevolent Frieda roams free, continuing her reign of terror. Tensions rise as innocence clashes with zealotry in this gothic tale.
