Plot

A determined young woman aspires to join the Follies while working at a department store’s sheet music section, where she sings the hottest tunes. Her childhood friend, who plays piano for her, harbors feelings for her, but she remains focused on her dreams. When a vaudeville performer offers her a chance to partner with him, she eagerly accepts, seeing it as her ticket to stardom. However, upon reaching New York City, she realizes her new partner’s intentions are less than honorable. Just when hope seems lost, a Ziegfeld representative discovers her talent.
