Plot

Chang Siu Tai, the son of esteemed chiropractor Master Chang, navigates life in a struggling neighborhood in early 20th century China. Working alongside his father, he learns the arts of bone-setting and kung fu. However, Siu Tai often finds himself in precarious situations, particularly when a group of Western foreigners and their Chinese allies arrive, intent on seizing a precious statue of the Goddess of Mercy housed in a nearby Buddhist temple. As tensions rise, Siu Tai's rebellious spirit leads him on a tumultuous journey filled with conflict and cultural clashes.
