Plot

In January 1971, Hollywood icon Steve McQueen finds himself at a crossroads following a tense exchange with his agent. Reluctantly, he agrees to select his next film role on one condition: the agent must assist him in tracking down the legendary Ford Mustang GT 390 from his classic film, BULLITT. As he embarks on a road trip across the desert back to Los Angeles, McQueen reflects on his past successes and failures. His journey unveils a complex portrait of a man grappling with a failing marriage, therapy, financial strain, and a career that’s losing its luster.
