Plot

Maurice Dumont, a young boy in a mountain village, struggles with the shadow of his deceased twin brother, Jacques, whom he claims to communicate with. Concerned for Maurice's well-being, local doctor Dr. Prevost and her husband, a schoolteacher, believe his mother's rigid parenting is detrimental. When they notice mysterious injuries on Maurice, complications arise. Meanwhile, some village women see an opportunity in his supposed gift to reach out to their lost loved ones. However, their intentions could unleash unforeseen and dangerous consequences for everyone involved.
