Plot

Brothers Martin and Simon, both on the brink of adolescence, are notorious troublemakers whose paths frequently intersect in the coastal town of Lignan. Martin escapes from reform school while Simon flees the confines of foster homes, driven by a haunting past linked to their mother’s abandonment. With dreams of being the "son of a shark," Martin clings to a cherished book about goldfish, blending philosophical musings with a romantic pursuit of neighbor girl Marie. Meanwhile, Simon, armed with a pocketknife and a fierce determination, embodies a more volatile presence. Their chaotic journey explores the struggles of childhood and the quest for identity.
