Plot

At 28 years old, Emily Ford, a Black LGBTQ woman, embarks on an ambitious quest with Diggins, a borrowed female Alaskan Husky, aiming to be the first woman and person of color to complete the 1,200-mile Ice Age Trail in winter. Over the course of 69 days, she faces the harsh challenges of subzero temperatures, pushing her physical and mental limits. Alongside her loyal canine companion, Emily forms a deep bond while experiencing the generosity of strangers. Their journey evolves into a powerful symbol for making the outdoors more inclusive, transforming an epic trek into a profound spiritual exploration.
