Plot

Raised by her gambler father, Senzo Yano, in Kumamoto, Ryuko's life shatters when he is brutally murdered on her 18th birthday. Vowing revenge, she dismantles her yakuza family and embarks on a five-year quest to find his killer, taking on the persona of Red Peony Oryu, marked by a striking red peony tattoo. As she travels across Japan, she encounters a cast of allies, including the solitary gambler Katagiri, Kumatora, the Shikoku crime boss, and Otaka, the head of the Doman Family in Osaka. Together, they help her confront her father's murderer.
