Plot
Eddie and Amber concoct a plan to pretend they're in a relationship to deflect rumors about their sexual orientations. Eddie aspires to join the military like his father, while Amber yearns for a life in the progressive environment of London. Initially, the ruse appears to work, but as their facade starts to crumble, Eddie sinks further into denial. Meanwhile, Amber recognizes the troubling path her best friend is heading down and understands she must take action to protect him from a bleak future.
