Lawman (1971)
Plot
A group of rowdy cattlemen celebrating in Bannock accidentally kills an elderly man with a stray bullet. Oblivious to the tragedy, they return to their hometown of Sabbath. Bannock's lawman, Jered Maddox, soon arrives to bring the responsible parties to justice for murder. Sabbath is under the control of Vince Bronson, a well-intentioned but authoritative landowner. Upon learning of the old man's death, Bronson steps forward with an offer of compensation, complicating the situation as Maddox seeks to uphold the law amidst local loyalties and power dynamics.
