The Flying Turtle (1953)

Plot

In this installment of Universal-International's "Foolish Fable" series, Herman the Turtle dreams of soaring through the skies. He studies flying techniques and signs up for Madam Bluejay's Flying School, but his efforts result in disappointment. In a desperate move, he hires an eagle for private lessons, only to be dropped into the ocean, leading to his demise. However, Herman finds himself in Turtle Heaven, where he receives a pair of wings and finally fulfills his dream of flying. The tale subtly conveys the lesson to be cautious about what one wishes for.
