Jeannette: The Childhood of Joan of Arc (2017)

Plot

In 1425 France, amidst the turmoil of the Hundred Years’ War, eight-year-old Jeannette tends to her sheep in the quaint village of Domremy. Distressed by the plight of her people under English rule, she confides in her friend Hauviette about her desire to fight for justice. Despite the attempts of Madame Gervaise, a nun, to dissuade her, Jeannette's unwavering faith drives her to embrace a destiny greater than herself. Her determination sets the stage for her transformation into the legendary figure, Joan of Arc, destined to rally her countrymen and change the course of history.
