Plot

Maquia belongs to the Iorph, a race gifted with immense longevity but plagued by isolation. Orphaned young, she feels disconnected from her community and longs for adventure beyond their borders. Her world shatters when the Mezarte kingdom invades, seeking to exploit her people’s immortality. Amidst the chaos, she is swept away by a Renato but soon finds herself alone in a forest after its demise. Hearing a baby’s cries nearby, Maquia discovers an orphaned child in ruins and chooses to raise him, naming him Ariel, despite her unfamiliarity with human life and the challenges of nurturing a rapidly aging child.
