Plot

In "Kings of the Road," Bruno Winter, a nomadic repairman specializing in projection equipment, crosses paths with Robert Lander, a disheartened hitchhiker and doctor reeling from a recent divorce and a failed suicide attempt. Together, they journey along the Western edge of the East-German border in Bruno's repair truck, stopping at dilapidated cinemas. As they navigate their disparate lives, the duo gradually learns to bridge the gap between their contrasting perspectives, forming an unexpected bond along the way.
