Plot

Violette aspires to make it on Broadway but instead finds herself working as a singing waitress at Fiore's. A chance to shine arises when she and Alex, who harbors jealousy over her connections, perform a duet on Christmas Eve. As they prepare, Alex's cousin Brad, aided by Alex's hidden support, begins to court Violette.
