Plot
Painter’s Mill, Ohio, a quiet Amish community, is rocked by a string of violent murders, leaving its residents grappling with fear and sorrow. Among the casualties of this tragedy is young Kate Burkholder, who escapes the horrors and turns her back on Amish life. Now, fifteen years later, she’s back as the town's Chief of Police, believing she has moved on.
