Plot

In "Emil and the Detectives" (1964), young Emil journeys to Berlin to see his relatives, only to have his money pilfered by a cunning thief known for tunneling. Determined to reclaim his stolen cash, Emil enlists the help of Gustav, a spirited boy who rallies a group of friends to assist in the chase. As they pursue the pickpocket, they unwittingly stumble into a larger predicament involving a pair of infamous bank robbers, leading to unexpected adventures and challenges along the way.
