Plot

When Manhattanite Alex heads to her childhood home in South Carolina for her estranged sister Jeannie's extravagant wedding, she fabricates a story about her family’s demise to avoid awkward questions. As the bridesmaid, Alex struggles to keep her own engagement a secret, especially since her fiancé is a Jewish African American. Miscommunication ensues, leading to comedic chaos.
