Plot
Three women in their forties navigate the ups and downs of love in a quaint English town. Their weekly gatherings are filled with gin, cigarettes, and sugary treats, where they share tales and fiercely debate whose romantic misadventures are the most dismal. Kate, the local school headmistress, leads the group alongside her best friends: the town's police chief and a jaded doctor with three failed marriages.
