Plot

Suzanna, a 40-year-old woman, visits a luxurious Riviera beach house with her lover, seeking a refreshing escape from her monotonous life. This seemingly ordinary day becomes pivotal as she confronts her stifling marriage to a wealthy and unfaithful husband in the 1960s. Based on Marguerite Duras's play, the story paints a vivid picture of a woman torn between the conventional roles of wife and mother and the allure of freedom represented by her youthful partner.
