Plot

A routine probe spirals into a nail-biting quest to avert disaster in this intense thriller directed by Michael Crichton. Government agent Steven Graves, portrayed by Ben Gazzara, uncovers a chilling scheme by political extremist James Wright, played by E.G. Marshall, to unleash deadly nerve gas on San Diego during the Republican Convention. Complicating matters, a computer hacker, portrayed by Martin Sheen, supplies Wright with a psychological profile to stay one step ahead of Graves.
