Plot

Irene (Margarita Buy), a stunning and dedicated hotel inspector, spends her life traveling to opulent resorts while remaining incognito and solitary. Despite enjoying lavish experiences, she feels increasingly disconnected. When her best friend and former lover, Andrea (Stefano Accorsi), suddenly becomes unavailable, Irene faces a profound identity crisis. A chance encounter with a fellow traveler, who cautions her that "luxury is a form of deceit," sparks a transformative journey.
