Children of the Stork (1999)

Plot

Three friends from France embark on an adventurous road trip in a stolen car. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they encounter a wounded stork that can speak. The stork reveals it has fled from the Algerian army, prompting the trio to assist in its quest for freedom. Together, they navigate various challenges as they aim to transport the stork to a relative's home in Germany, forging a unique bond along the way and discovering the importance of friendship and compassion in the process.
