Hiwa Natsunagi, a high school student from Iwaki City, Fukushima, faces uncertainty about her future after graduation. On a whim, she applies to be a hula dancer at Spa Resort Hawaiians, inspired by her sister Mari's former job there. Despite her inexperience, Hiwa lands the role alongside her classmates Kanna, Ranko, 'ohana, and Shion. Their initial performance flops, leading to them being dubbed the “most pitiful rookies ever.” Undeterred, the girls learn to embrace their differences and support one another, ultimately finding the strength to shine on stage together in their next performance.
