Plot

Abbie Polin, a New York doctor played by Billy Crystal, faces a life-altering heart attack that prompts a trip to Los Angeles to reconnect with his estranged father, Abe, portrayed by Alan King. Abe, known as the "king of the extras" in Hollywood, has always struggled to connect with Abbie, despite his charm with others. As Abe's memory deteriorates and he receives a brain aneurysm diagnosis, the father-son duo undertakes a heartfelt journey to mend their relationship. With time running out, Abbie desperately seeks to secure his father's dream of a speaking role in a film.
