Plot

A small white house along the Trans-Saharan road houses 74-year-old Malika, whose life becomes intertwined with filmmaker Hassen Ferhani and journalist Chawki Amari. As they explore the remote landscape connecting Algiers to Tamanrasset, Amari's literary depiction of Malika transforms into a rich, poignant reality. Initially viewed as a mere character, she reveals a complex humanity against the harsh desert backdrop. As she interacts with her visitors, her sparse gestures and elusive past hint at a life left behind in Algeria's verdant north, where she now resides with only her dog and cat for company.
