Plot

Ana Alvarez, a single mother from Nicaragua, struggles to make a life for herself and her teenage daughter, Izzy, in Northern Indiana. Just as Izzy receives her acceptance to Indiana University, a routine check-in results in a deportation order for Ana. As the grim reality of being separated from her daughter looms, Ana is determined to secure Izzy’s future.
