Plot
In 17th century Boston, steeped in Puritan values, seamstress Hester Prynne faces ostracism after bearing a child out of wedlock with a revered minister. Defiantly, she keeps the father's identity a secret, leading to her condemnation for adultery and the public shaming symbolized by a scarlet "A" she must wear. As tensions rise with a nearby Indian attack, the Puritan community is compelled to reassess their rigid laws and moral standings, prompting a transformative shift in their perspectives on sin and redemption.
