Amazon (1990)

Plot

After losing his wife and facing financial struggles, Finnish entrepreneur Kari travels to Brazil with his two teenage daughters. There, a bush pilot piques his interest in gold mining deep within the jungle. However, a wise and educated local woman cautions him about the detrimental effects such endeavors could have on the rainforest. Torn between ambition and ethics, Kari's perspective shifts dramatically following an accident that leads him to the compassionate care of a nearby Indian tribe, forcing him to confront the true cost of his pursuits.
