Plot
In a remote Siberian village during late autumn, an elderly man named Ivan lives with his young grandson, Leshia. Their tranquil existence is shattered by a pack of feral dogs that terrorizes the area, including one dog that is Leshia's beloved companion. The situation worsens when their uncle Yuri, the only source of food, is killed by the dogs. After witnessing Ivan shoot the dog, Leshia flees and falls into a dry well. Unable to rescue him alone, Ivan ventures into the treacherous taiga for help, while Leshia anxiously waits for his father’s return.
