Plot

Sandy Ricks is reluctantly shipped off to Coral Key for the summer to stay with his uncle, Porter Ricks. Initially, he finds the island dull and uninviting. However, everything changes when he encounters Flipper, a playful dolphin who quickly becomes his best friend. Through their thrilling escapades, Sandy discovers the magic of his surroundings and forms a deeper bond with his uncle.
