Highway to Hellas (2015)

Plot

Jorg Geissner, a German banker, finds his life upended during a business trip to Paladiki Island, Greece, where he is tasked with overseeing a project dubbed "Galapagos in Greece." Eager to conduct a thorough investigation, he encounters resistance from Panos, a local mini-mart owner, and the town mayor, who conspire to hide the island's true struggles. As Jorg's plans unravel, reminiscent of an odyssey, he is compelled to reassess his priorities and responsibilities, leading to unexpected revelations about life and community.
