Plot
Workers at a dye factory face a 20% wage cut after their employer enlists Manchu thugs to boost output. Frustrated by their plight, they hire an actor to pose as a kung-fu master from the Shaolin temple. When the ruse is exposed, the factory owner punishes the involved workers, leaving the young actor feeling guilty for their plight. Determined to make amends, he embarks on a journey to Shaolin, aspiring to become a true kung-fu disciple and help his fellow workers reclaim their dignity and wages.
