Plot
Doctor Knock, a former criminal turned physician, arrives in the quaint village of Saint-Maurice with an unconventional scheme to amass wealth. By convincing the locals that they suffer from various ailments, he uncovers both real and imagined symptoms to profit from their newfound fears. As he charms the townsfolk and earns their trust, success seems within reach. However, his past resurfaces when an old acquaintance threatens to unravel his carefully constructed facade, jeopardizing his ambitions and the lives of those he has deceived.
