Dedicated journalist Phyllis Dale has been concealing a secret for seventeen years. However, when her rebellious daughter Bobby is expelled from boarding school, it seems that the truth may finally surface. To deflect suspicion, Bobby claims to be the younger sister of Phyllis' fiancé, Lawrence, and her boss, Roger. But trouble brews as Bobby's flirtatious antics capture the attention of a notorious divorcee, threatening to create a scandal.
