Plot

Restlessness pervades the lives of two couples entangled in betrayal and discontent. Barry, a gloomy businessman, struggles with his marriage to writer Mary, who feels unfulfilled. Seeking solace, Mary embarks on an affair with Jerry, a self-assured theater professor married to her friend Terri, another writer. The web of infidelity thickens with the involvement of Cary, a ruthless doctor, and Cheri, an art-gallery assistant. As secrets unravel, the characters confront their desires and the complexities of their relationships, leading to unexpected consequences.
